Dragged you down below, down to the devils show to be his guest forever, peace of mind is less than never. [/blockquote][/color] Escape from this Afterlife is a supernatural rpg set in the city of Los Angeles (the city of angels), which is fitting for some but there are others that just don’t belong here. Amongst the unsuspecting humans there are supernatural beings, some who are there to do good and others who are there under false pretenses and just pure evil. Since the beginning of time good has gone up against evil and now is no different, it may even be at its worst. Lucius Ahriman, while once an angel, has been compared to the devil and maybe in some right he is. The oldest and most powerful demon, Lucius controls all the other demons and rules over hell. Everything in his life is ruled by sin and the more Lucius has the more he wants including taking over the human world, but in order to do that he needs a larger army of demons to go up against his brother Angelus. Lucius has sent his most powerful demons up to the human world for two reasons, one, to steal the souls of sinners in order to create an army of pure evil, and two, to kill off as many angels as possible, weakening his brother’s own legion. These demons have a beauty about them that draws people in. They also have the ability to create illusions, illusions of a person’s wildest dreams, making them believe that they are getting anything and everything their heart desires. Once the humans have gotten to the point of pure greed, the demons take away whatever it is that the human desires, leaving them begging and pleading for more. The bargain? Their soul in exchange for the false promise that whatever it is that they want will be returned to them. The moment the human agrees, the demon steals their soul and they are brought down to hell where they are forced into a form of slavery, now as made demons for all eternity to do the bidding of Lucius Ahriman. The process of purging their old lives is grueling and downright evil. While they are chained up, their bodies writhe in agony, fear, delusion and paranoia set in leaving the humans begging for mercy as they relive their worst nightmare over and over again. Some don’t survive the process, others go insane.
Like all bad things there must be an equal amount of good to balance it out. Angelus Ahriman is the younger brother of Lucius. If Lucius is compared to the devil then Angelus would be compared to God and perhaps he is. Even though Angelus is the younger brother, he is the oldest and most powerful angel in heaven. He rules over all of heaven and the angels that he sends down to the human world to protect the humans as guardian angels and the protectors of human souls. It is Angelus’ job to decide which of his angels are powerful and worthy enough to go up against his nieces and nephews and any other demon sent to do the bidding for his older brother. Angelus must also decide the fate of those who have recently entered into the afterlife, whether they will be sent back to earth as an angel or if they will remain in heaven. In a place called the city of angels good should prevail but the question is will the angels pure goodness be enough to stop absolute evil, or will Lucius be able the turn the city of angels into his own personal hell on earth? Welcome to Escape from this Afterlife.
